Keith Reeve’s account
Keith Reeve had served St. Mark’s as vicar and rector from 1969 to 1986. In a later first-person account published by American Hearing Loop, he described a different connection to the parish: the difficulty of following worship with hearing loss.[1][16]
He brought the need for a hearing loop to Lorraine Ljunggren and the vestry. Money was raised, and the installation made use of grooves in the church’s existing concrete floor. His account describes the difference the system made for people using hearing aids.[16]
The installation and its date
Reeve’s published testimony describes hearing loss and the improvement he experienced after the installation. It is a personal account, rather than an independent technical assessment.
No installation date has been established in the material reviewed. The story is therefore told without assigning it a year. Nor should the historical account be taken as confirmation of the equipment’s condition today.
